Termas de Chillán

This place is located 82 kilometres to the east of Chillán City. This is the most important and modern tourist complex in the south of Chile. This has the largest track in the continent, around 2.500 meters. Termas de Chillán is in the valley of Chillán Volcano.

In Termas de Chillán you can practice cross-country, this is the Nordic Ski, this place is located at 1.600 meters that lets you wind your way along gentle slopes through enchanted, snow-covered forests.

The surface of this place is 10.000 hectares. This centre has 28 tracks and 10 ski lifts (El Tata, La Peta, Novicios, La Mami, Don Otto, Don Benno, El Chueco, Pillin, El Fresco and El Condor).

There is a Snowboard Park that offers riders of all abilities even more thrilling attractions, including curvaceous cornices, exhilarating speed runs, dizzying jumps, and challenging championships.

Termas de Chillán has three Hotels: Gran Hotel Termas de Chillán, Pirimahuida Hotel and Nevados de Chillán Hotel.

Even when ski season in Chile is over, Termas de Chillán keeps opened all the year.

Access

Go from Santiago by the Pan-American Route (Ruta 5 Sur), arriving at Chillán City and then follow the road to the east to the mountain, up to Termas de Chillan. Sometimes wheel-chains are required.

Antuco Ski Centre

This year the Antuco Volcano will participate in the competition of one of the new seven marvels of the world.

Antuco Ski Centre is located 89 kilometers from Los Angeles City, in the hillside of Antuco Volcano, around 2985 meters above the sea level, inside the Laguna del Laja National Park.

This Ski Centre counts with tracks of different difficulty levels and 3 ski lifts.

This Centre is a place with excellent snow and its slopes are located inside of a beautiful landscape with forests and the typical characteristics of the Chilean south volcanoes. In this place there are not rush hours that you can see in others Ski Centres. It is ideal for spending a quite journey or learns to ski without problems.

This year there are a coffee shop and toilets which were installed by CONAF in the slopes sector for attending those visitors whom there are not member of the Club and without Lodge in the place.

The places were you can stay are particular Refuges and the Ski Club Los Angeles, with its lodging 2 rooms and restaurant opens all year.

Access

Go from Santiago by the Pan-American Route (Ruta 5 Sur), arriving at Los Angeles City and then follow the road to the mountain, up to Antuco town, it is 90 kilometers, the last 13 kilometers are of debris. In winter wheel-chains are required.
